Prague Hotel Review - Old Prague Hostel
Review of the “Old Prague Hostel” (Benediktska 2, Prague 1)
This hostel was very well situatued, between the
Republiky and Staromestské squares. Across the street from the Hostel
is a Police station. And even though the neighborhood seems a little
off the beaten path, there is a good amount of people out and about
at all hours of the night, even in the dead of winter. While the
entrance doesn’t appear to set this place apart from other hostels,
the small flags draw you to the front door. The hostel is located
in what appears to be an office building. The main desk is located
on the 1st floor of the building and there is always someone to
help you, and even if it’s at 4 AM, the staff is professional and
curteous.
The Hostel offers breakfast, a shared shower room, clean bathrooms
and toilets, and bright, spacious rooms. There was also free Internet
access and a comfortable meeting room/ lounge where there were always
young groups preparing another night out. There was peace and quiet
and I never had to wait for a shower, a computer, or staff to help
me with any questions or concerns that I may have had. The room
I reserved was rather spartan, but comfortable with a table, chairs
and two single beds.
You may only pay in Czech Crowns, despite what the Internet reservation
page that the hostel uses will tell you.
I rate this Hostel very highly due to the fact that it was clean,
orderly, calm, and well staffed. I encourage other travellers to
check this place out. http://www.oldpraguehostel.com/
